Product Description

Used to pry roots and clams from the earth, digging sticks are an indispensable tool for any forager. These digging sticks are hand carved from native Pacific Yew (Taxus brevifolia), one of the toughest woods in the Pacific Northwest and the traditional material of choice among Aboriginal root diggers. Custom sized to fit your harvesting needs they can range from 12 to 48 inches long. Smaller digging sticks fit conveniently in harvesting bags and packs, while large digging sticks are more efficient to use. Handles styles include a full handle (shown) or ball handle.

Price ranges from $150-300 depending on size and handle style.

The digging sticks shown are not for sale, but representative of our work.
